Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Clear Tape: the website at cleartape.ai, the dashboard at app.cleartape.ai and the Clear Tape app. Clear Tape is run by Packsy Global B.V., a private limited company registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 99226057), at Athenesingel 100, 2548 TH The Hague, the Netherlands (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer.
1. What Clear Tape is
Clear Tape is an online service with market information and tools for people who trade US stocks: news, calendars, market data, daily stock screens, options and crypto pages, trading-system tools, AI features and, for Pro members only, the pre-market analysis, positions and trade alerts written by Clear Tape’s founder. It is for education and information. It is not investment advice (see section 12 and the Disclaimer).
We keep improving Clear Tape, so features may change. If we remove something that is a main part of a paid plan, we tell you in advance, and you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of your current period.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You sign in with your email and a password, a one-time code we email you, or your Google account. Keep your password and your email account secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- An account is for one person. Don’t share it or your sign-in.
- Give us an email address that is yours and that you read: we use it for sign-in codes, receipts and important notices.
3. Plans and prices
Clear Tape has a Free plan and two paid plans, Tools and Pro. Tools includes the research tools, without Clear Tape’s own analysis, key levels, positions, trade alerts or sector maps. Pro includes everything in Tools plus that content. What each plan includes and the current prices are on the pricing page. Tools costs $30 a month or $288 a year; Pro costs $49 a month or $468 a year. Prices are in US dollars; applicable sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies, and you see the total before you pay.
4. Paying by card: subscriptions that renew
- Card payments go through Stripe. Card subscriptions are sold through Stripe’s merchant-of-record service: for the payment, the Stripe company named on your checkout page and receipt is the seller of record, and it charges your card, calculates and collects tax and sends your receipts. We provide the service itself.
- Your subscription (Tools or Pro) renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly, as you chose) and your payment method is charged the price that applies at that time, until you cancel.
- If we change the price of your plan, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you. You can cancel before then; if you don’t, the new price applies from your next renewal.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again for a short time. If it still fails, your paid plan ends and your account goes back to the Free plan.
- You can switch between Tools and Pro, or between monthly and yearly billing, in Settings › Membership › Manage subscription. Stripe calculates the prorated amount for the rest of your current period and shows it, and when the change applies, before you confirm.
- Discount codes and referral credit are applied at checkout or to your next renewal, as described on the pricing page. We may withdraw credit that was obtained by abuse, such as referring yourself.
5. Paying on WeChat
You may instead pay for one month or one year of Tools or Pro on WeChat, by arrangement with us. These payments never renew: when the period ends, your account goes back to the Free plan unless you pay again. Settings › Membership shows the date your paid plan ends. To switch plans, message us on WeChat.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel a card subscription at any time in Settings › Membership › Manage subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals: you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing more is charged. Details are on the Refunds and cancellation page.
7. Refunds and your right of withdrawal
You may ask for a full refund of any payment for Tools or Pro within 14 days of that payment, whether it was your first payment or a renewal, monthly or yearly, without giving a reason. Email us at [email protected] from, or naming, the email address you signed up with. When we refund a payment, your paid plan ends and your account stays on the Free plan.
If you are a consumer in the EU, this covers your legal 14-day right to withdraw from the contract, and goes beyond it. How to withdraw, and a model form, are on the Refunds and cancellation page. After 14 days we don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
8. How you may use Clear Tape
Your account, and any paid plan you hold, give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Clear Tape for your own information while it lasts. You may not:
- copy, publish, resell or pass on our analysis, trade alerts, positions or data, or post them in groups, channels or other services;
- share your account, or let others use it;
- scrape, crawl or download the service or its data in bulk, or get around its limits and access controls;
- interfere with the service, try to break its security, or use it for anything unlawful.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. If we close a paid account for a serious breach, we don’t refund the current period.
9. Content and intellectual property
Clear Tape, its software, design, analysis, alerts and texts belong to us or to our licensors. Market data, news, charts and widgets come from third parties under their own terms; each page names its sources. What you put into Clear Tape (questions to the AI features, systems and watchlists you build) stays yours; you allow us to process it as needed to provide the service.
10. AI features
The AI assistant, the trading-system coach, the options and Jev reads and the English translation of the analysis are written automatically by AI models from the data on the site. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they are not advice. Check anything that matters before you act on it. Each feature has the allowance shown in the app and on the pricing page.
11. Data and availability
We work to keep Clear Tape available and its data accurate, but we depend on outside data sources and services. Data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and options data for members is as of the previous session’s close. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control. We don’t promise any particular availability.
12. No investment advice
Nothing on Clear Tape is a recommendation to buy or sell any security for you personally. We are not a licensed investment firm or investment adviser. Clear Tape’s founder may hold, buy or sell the securities covered in the analysis and trade alerts. Trading involves risk, including the loss of more than you expect. Your decisions are your own. Read the full Disclaimer.
13. Our liability
We are not liable for trading or investment losses, or for decisions you make based on Clear Tape. Our total liability to you for any claim related to Clear Tape is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them. If you are a consumer, you keep every right that mandatory consumer law gives you.
14. Ending your account
You can stop using Clear Tape at any time. To have your account deleted, email us; we cancel any subscription and delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may close a Free account that has not been used for a long time, after telling you by email.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then and ask for a refund of the unused part of your current period.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, or, if you are a consumer, to the court where you live. Please contact us first: most problems are solved quickly by email.
