How we write and check our content
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This page explains how Clear Tape’s articles, tools and data pages are written, where their facts and figures come from, how they are checked, and how to report an error.
Who publishes Clear Tape
Clear Tape is operated by Packsy Global B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands; its details are in the Imprint. Content is published under the Clear Tape name, not an individual author’s. Neither Packsy Global B.V. nor Clear Tape’s founder is a licensed investment firm or adviser, and nothing on Clear Tape is investment advice: see the Disclaimer.
How articles are written
- Learn articles and Academy lessons are written with the help of AI tools and checked before they are published.
- Formulas and worked examples are recalculated, and the free calculators are covered by automated tests.
- Facts about other companies, such as a broker’s export steps or another product’s features and prices, come from that company’s own published pages and are dated.
- Each article shows the date it was last updated.
Automated checks before every release
Before a new version of the site goes live, automated checks stop it if a page links to a page that does not exist, or if a public page quotes return figures from a backtest or a trading strategy. Backtests are hypothetical, and Clear Tape does not use them to advertise results.
Market data
The market data pages (CPI, the jobs report, the FOMC schedule, the economic calendar and others) take their figures and dates from official sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Each page names its sources and shows when the data was retrieved, and the figures are shown as published. Schedules can change; the issuing agency’s own calendar is authoritative.
AI-generated content
Some features in the dashboard write text with AI models, such as Ask AI and the AI coach. That content is labeled. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date; treat it as a starting point for your own research, never as advice.
Corrections
If you find an error, email support@cleartape.ai with the page’s address and what is wrong. Factual errors are corrected, and the article’s update date changes with the correction.
