Free and Tools members see SPY, QQQ and IWM: range-bound or trending (dealer gamma), the flip level and the option walls. Pro adds any stock: walls by strike, the gamma profile, IV term structure and skew, earnings moves priced against past ones, strategies (iron condor, credit spreads, the wheel, straddles) and an AI read, 5 a day. Members see each session’s closing data once the next session has opened, not live quotes. Dealer positions are estimated, not known.

How paying works
- Create a free account at app.cleartape.ai.
- In Settings › Membership, choose Become a member, then Tools or Pro, monthly or yearly, and pay by card on Stripe’s secure page. Discount codes go on that page.
- Your plan starts as soon as the payment goes through. Your subscription renews every month or year, at the price shown, until you cancel.
- Switch plans or cancel any time in Settings › Membership › Manage subscription. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged.
Paying from China
You can pay on WeChat instead. Add us and tell us the email you signed up with, the plan and the period: Tools for a month ($30) or a year ($288), or Pro for a month ($49) or a year ($468). We switch your account by hand, usually within the day. WeChat payments never renew by themselves.
Refer a friend
- Your referral link is in the dashboard, under Settings › Membership. Friends who sign up through it are linked to your account.
- When a friend you referred pays for Tools or Pro, you get $10 off your next renewal.
- Your friend gets $10 off their first month of Tools or Pro.
- Credit stacks and carries over: refer three friends and your next renewal is $30 less. A renewal never goes below $0.
- Your credit is added once your friend’s first payment is past the 14-day refund window, and it comes off your next card renewal by itself (if you pay on WeChat, we take it off when you renew). If that payment is refunded, the credit is removed. Referring yourself doesn’t count.
Questions
How do I sign up?
Choose Create a free account (or go to app.cleartape.ai). Sign up with your email and a password, with a one-time code we email you, or with your Google account. No card is needed for the Free plan.
How do I upgrade to Tools or Pro?
In the dashboard, open Settings › Membership, choose Become a member, then Tools or Pro. You pay by card (or Apple Pay or Google Pay) on Stripe’s secure page, and your plan starts as soon as the payment goes through. From China, you can pay on WeChat instead (see How paying works).
Which plan includes Clear Tape’s analysis?
Only Pro. Pro includes Clear Tape’s pre-market analysis and key levels, live positions and the track record, trade alerts with stop and target, the daily sector maps and Clear Tape’s Bitcoin key levels. Tools includes the research tools (the screener, Clear Cut, backtests, market breadth, the morning brief, the Stock read and the AI assistant) without Clear Tape’s analysis, levels, positions, alerts or sector maps. Options analysis for any stock and the AI coach are also in Pro only.
Will I be charged automatically?
Yes, if you pay by card: your subscription renews at the end of each month or year, at the price shown, until you cancel. Settings › Membership shows your next renewal date. WeChat payments never renew by themselves: when your period ends, renew on WeChat or your account goes back to Free.
How do I cancel?
In Settings › Membership, choose Manage subscription, then Cancel. It takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for: you keep your plan until then, nothing more is charged, and your account goes back to the Free plan.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email us at [email protected] within 14 days of any payment for Tools or Pro (monthly or yearly, first payment or renewal) and we refund it in full; tell us the email you signed up with. Your paid plan then ends and your account stays on the Free plan. After 14 days, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. See Refunds and cancellation.
Can I switch between Tools and Pro, or between monthly and yearly?
Yes. If you pay by card, open Settings › Membership › Manage subscription and choose the other plan or billing period. Stripe works out the prorated amount for the rest of your current period and shows it before you confirm. If you paid on WeChat, message us on WeChat and we change your plan by hand.
Do prices include tax?
Prices are in US dollars. Card subscriptions are sold through Stripe’s merchant-of-record service, so Stripe works out any sales tax or VAT for where you live and adds it at checkout, before you pay; your receipt shows it. Stripe may also show the price in your own currency.
Can I see Clear Tape’s trades on Free or Tools, even delayed?
No. Everything Clear Tape publishes (the pre-market analysis, positions, track record, trade alerts, sector maps and Bitcoin key levels) is for Pro members, with no delayed version. Free gives you the market tools: news, the calendar, the heatmap, crypto prices, the index options cards, the fear & greed score, daily Discover picks and every Academy course. Tools adds the research tools.
In which language is Clear Tape’s analysis written?
Clear Tape’s pre-market analysis is written in Chinese. Members on the English site receive an English translation produced by AI, with the Chinese original one click away. The key levels and tickers are identical in both.
Where does the data come from, and is it live?
Prices can be delayed, and each page says how current its data is. Options data comes from Cboe’s delayed quotes, and members see it as of the previous session’s close. News comes from official sources (the Fed, BEA, SEC and others) and other news providers; charts and some market widgets are TradingView’s. Each page names its sources. Don’t rely on any of it for time-critical trading.
How do the AI features work?
The assistant, the coach, the options and stock reads and the analysis translation are written by AI models from the data on the site. On Tools, the assistant answers from market data, not from Clear Tape’s analysis or levels. They can be wrong: check anything that matters. Your questions are sent to the AI provider to get an answer; see the Privacy Policy.
